First I want to let you know a little bit about where and why this post came to be. Over the last couple of weeks, I have been deeply inspired, creatively awakened, and encouraged to laugh. One person that comes to mind, is K Andrew from Getting Cricky. She is so funny, so real, so down to earth, and so encouraging. She is just an amazing artist and crafter all wrapped up in a cute little package. Her laughter is contagious, so I encourage you to watch at least one of her video posts. She has some great Link Up Love Parties that are a fresh and invigorating way to reach out to other crafters and make new friends along the way.
The idea of the Party is to just share your creations. No requirements to make a specific item to fit into a challenge. Once you have shared, you only have to visit the 5 people before and the 5 people after you on the Inlinkz and comment on their creations. SOUNDS GREAT TO ME. My guess is that we will be seeing some great creations through these Link Up Parties, because WE ARE OUR WORST CRITICS! So we probably won't be showing off anything less then PHENOMENAL!!!!
So, my favorite project so far would have to be.....ummm......thinking......being my own worst critic.......I'll be right with you...........ok..............nah.........not that one.............what about this one.....ok..........here it is......
My very first ever, hand-painted ornament. I tried this and loved the results. I love painting, which is my first passion before paper crafting, but not as easy to do with little ones at my feet all the time. So, I attempted to paint many things in my lifetime, but not an ornament. I guess there IS a first time for everything. Now I have a few orders with deadlines for Christmas, shwooo.....but it will be nice to change up my pattern of crafting behavior a little from time to time. I really like how his beard looks soft and fluffy.
Kristal, thanks so much for these parties, they are a great way for us to brag on ourselves and pat ourselves on the back from time to time!!!!

I hear you on the critic part. I love blogging because it gives me a way to show my work without having to feel like I am showing it to people. Even though many still see it :) I love the ornament and the santa :)
