All About Pumpkins with 3 Girl JAM

Hello and Happy Tuesday
my sweet Blends!

Tuesdays, hmmmm....what could that mean?
Well, it means that I get to tell
you about the fun I had
with my 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon and Burlap!

I also played with some
of my new (never used, had a while)
Unity Stamps. ***giggle***

I like that I tried to go CAS on this one,
but still struggled with stopping
at a point that doesn't require
more...that is really hard for me...he he he!

I grabbed my box of 3 Girl JAM goodies
(yes they are in their own special box...equipped with a
on the front for easy finding!)
see......
Did you know you can get your
very own CUSTOM Flair Button
with your Personal or Business Blog
Logo or Blinkie design?
Yep, just click this >>>Link Here<<<

I really owe my inspiration
to the current
and a few others that I listed below.

If you like to play with Ribbon
then the current challenge is for you.
Why don't you LINK UP???
 You can do so
at the Challenge Blog
or right here on my Blog.
Just look for the Inlinkz on the right sidebar :O)

I grabbed my Goblin Green and Harvest Orange
Crinkle Ribbon and my roll of
fabulous 3 Girl JAM Burlap.
I first inked up my white doily with TH Antique Linen.
Then I threaded the fun Goblin Green ribbon through
the existing holes on the doily.  This is a bit tricky
and requires a little bit of patience if your doily is made of paper. LOL
The Harvest Orange was pleated on top of the burlap and ran
in a wave pattern to mimic the sketch I was using (see below).
The whimsical pumpkins are from a my little shoebox* set
by Unity called - a little trick or treat.
The ink was Orange by Rubber Stampede.
I cut 2 circles with my 2" circle punch, placed one directly'
on the back of the doily and added foam squares,
then placed the 2nd circle below that.

I stamped the sentiment directly on to my Kraft card stock
using Jumbo Java and one of the adorable
sentiment stamps in the Bella Blvd set
by Unity called - Finally Fall.
I then stamped the burlap using
my Christy Tomlinson - Chevron Background Stamp by Unity
and some VersaMagic - Jumbo Java brown ink.
I tried with a bit of orange and green, but they didn't show so well.
I then went over the entire piece with the brown again.

See, I decided to play with the Chick Challenge #46 sketch

- Cream, Brown, Olive and Pumpkin,
and decided which stamps to use
based on the

Now, if you haven't stopped over to
lately, then you are missing out
on some fabby inspiration
and amazing deals.

Share your Smile - with 3 Girl JAM

Happy Tuesday Blends

I get so excited when it is
my day to share
a fun project
using 3 Girl JAM products.

Today I got to make a fun
girly card.
Lots of pinks, chevrons, and fun dress forms.

I used:
Baby Girl Pink  Sterling Silver, and Tuxedo Black

My ribbon flower was created to
fit with the current theme
at the 3 Girl JAM Challenge Blog.
There is still time to link up
your RIBBON FLOWERS,
so be sure to stop over and get all the details
to play along.
You can even link up
on the right sidebar
here on my blog!

I first cut out a 2" circle.  I started to braid my
three colors of Crinkle Ribbon:
Baby Girl Pink
Tuxedo Black
and
Sterling
together and adhered them
to my circle with ATG Adhesive.
I then put Zots on the back of my 2" circle
and began pleating the Baby Girl Pink
to create a soft petal edge to the flower.

I added a single large
Gun Metal Pearl
from Want 2 Scrap
to finish the center.

The pattern papers are
from the 6x6
Carta Bella - Paris Girl stack
purchased

I used my corner puncher that Heather Lynn gave
me a few weeks ago, because I am always drooling
over her wonderful cards
that she uses one to create.
Thanks Heather!!!

I inked up all of my edges with
Dew Drops Platinum
and
Studio G Pink.

I also distressed my center oval using my
Tim Holtz Distressing Tool.
To cut the oval, I used my Creative Memories
Oval Cutting System - (the 3rd largest oval/red blade)
I added small Baby Bling Le Creme Pearls (also from
Want2Scrap) around the edge
of the oval (1" apart), then
added Liquid Pearls - Petal Pink
in between each Le Creme Pearl.

The stamped image and sentiment are
from the Unity Itty Bitty
Share Your Smile
by Authentique.
I used VersaMark Black ink and
a black Shiny embossing powder on both.
After embossing the dress form, I added
more  Liquid Pearls - Petal Pink
for extra oomph.

I am linking up this project to the current
Chick Challenge - Sketch #44

I hope you enjoy my card
and be sure to stop
over to the
3 Girl JAM Blog
to see all of the wonderful
work the DT has been creating lately.
Then be sure to stop over
to the

using these colors.
But, I was excited to try it out!

I decided to go with a Halloween Theme since
I DO SO LOVE this time of year!

Here is my card!
In hindsight, I think I would have layed
off of using the Perfect Pearls mist on the pumpkins.
The orange was dark and I think would have
stood out better without it.
I was however excited to use my new Sizzix Die and cut through some chipboard!

Supplies used:
Base cs - Core'dinations (Pearl-Gray)
Purple pumpking pattern paper from stash
Yellow Sunflower - Core'dinations cs
Chipboard - Medium grade
Sizzix - Pumpkin #2
Sizzix Embossing Folder (Tim Holtz - Swirlz)
Orange, Green, and Black
Perfect Pearls mist
Smooch Spritz (Olive Green)
Bling from stash
Sentiment by Unity and My Little Shoebox (a little trick or treat)
Watercolor markers
adhesive and 3D foam

Please hop over to
to join in the fun
and
link up your project
for your change to win a fabulous prize from
The Cutting Cafe

I also want to mention that I used the sketch from
Chick Challenges #42
where I will be entering this card into the challenge!
The challenge will end on Sunday, August 27, 2012

3 Girl JAM - Grow with Courage

Hello to all of my Sweet Blends!

Today I get to share with you
how fun it is to play with
the Wonderful Twine
This twine is so sturdy and worked
out great for the idea I had in mind.

I had been wanting to try a few new things
with my stamping techniques and needed
a handmade flower
to really highlight
my card!

So I simply took
my 1/2 inch Pop Up Glue Dots
and started creating loops with
the Sunshine Yellow
to look like a flower.
When I had the placement right,
I pressed down firmly to be sure it was
held together well, then added a button
and the flower brad
to the center using a little hot glue.
I also used the Cotton Candy Pink
to create the criss-cross pattern
you see on the "flower box"!

If you want to pick up some of this
wonderful twine,
head over to the 3 Girl JAM shop
and place an order today!
And while you are there, don't forget to grab
your Limited Edition Red, White, and Blue
bundle
before it's gone!

Here is my card:

My card was inspired by the wonderful
{Ippity} Chick, Angela Reece,
who is hosting this week's Sketch at
Chick Challenge #34

I was happy to use my
Ippity Stamps - Where You Should Be
 for this card
along with the following supplies
American Crafts Specialty Paper - Damask
Core'dinations Pearl card stock
scraps
TH distress tool
Archival ink by Ranger
Twine from 3 Girl JAM

All who wander are not lost . . . using 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon

Happy Tuesday Crafty Blends!!!

Today is my day to share
the fun I had
playing with my
3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon!!!

I truly can't believe that
the entire month of May
has flown by so quickly.
With the month of June upon our doorsteps,
I begin to think of Summer Fun.
Kids laughing and playing in the sprinkler,
Bike Rides, Picnics in the Park,
and
Relaxing days at the beach . . .

With that in mind, I played with some
fun summery colors on this card.  I stepped out of my comfort
zone a little with the color palette I worked with, but
all in all, I feel that I captured my summer idea.

I hope you enjoy peeking at it!

I used the wonderful
Ice Blue, Sunflower Yellow, and Holly Berry
3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon

And, if you need to stock up
on all your favorite colors
place an order today!

I also enjoyed inking up some Unity Stamps that
I hadn't gotten to use yet.
I used:
Bicycle - Aug 2009 KOM following my heart
Bicycle background - Apr 2012 KOM {FOLLOW your own}
Sentiment - Travel Notes by Simple Stories

After completing a lot of layouts for the
Spellbinders Paper Arts
contest
to benefit
Crops of Luv,

I decided to change it back up
and finish a card tonight.

I was inspired to use
Joan's Sketch

and to use the current theme for the
#4 Challenge ~ Butterflies and Handmade Flowers

I chose a black and purple theme that
coordinated with my butterfly dp.

The scallop "banners" were cute using a cut from Lacy Labels.

Unity Stamps that I used include:
(for the center of my hand made flower/inside the bottle cap)

sentiment from {Ippity} set BE BRAVE...BRANCH OUT
inked on vellum and then heat embossed

and some foliage/berries from the{Ippity} set Where You Should Be
inked and heat embossed

For my HANDMADE FLOWER
I created it in several layers
 (for the bottle cap center)
1. cutting a 3/4" circle from Lacy Labels
2. inking it with a soft lilac Studio G ink
3. stamping the flower and embossing it with black powder
4. adding the small black pearl
5. spraying a mist of Perfect Pearls
6. gluing the circle to a bottle cap
7. adding a bit of alcohol ink (peridot)

8. adhering the bottle cap to the white cirlce (1")
9. using my MS Scroll Lace corner punch to create the petals

around the perimeter of the white circle

10. adhering those layers to a purple circle (2")
then to another white circle (2 1/4")
11. The outside "petals" were created by twisting
of the last white circle.

I hope you enjoy my creation!

Chick Challenge #29, Got {Ippity}, Simon Says and GHWI at TCC

Well, the kids are well overdue for the nap already
today, so this will
be short and sweet!

I made this Birthday card
for my mother who
will be celebrating her 75th Birthday
at the end of May!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY!
I started with desert sand card stock and some dp by Cosmo Cricket.
I used the sketch at Chick Challenges this week.

The ink used is all Studio G and Versa Color.
The twine was a gift from my sweet friend Heather.
I also added a touch of maroon to the flower image, which
is a stamp from the 2009 {Sweet Affections} Unity kit.
The sentiment is from the March 2012 KOM by Unity.

I am linking this project to the Blog Hop Challenge at

DT Post for 3 Girl Jam: NOW AVAILABLE~ Caribbean Splash bundle

Hello Crafty Blends!
I can't believe it already time
to share another DT Post with you
YIPPEE!!!!
This week is a fun week, too since
there was just
at
Caribbean Splash
 Isn't that just beautiful?

For my project today, I couldn't resist using the new colors!!

I started with basic Kraft card stock for my base.
My dp are from a stack I received and I am not sure of the manufacturer.
The blue die cut behind the image and tan square are both from a "tackle box" die cut set I purchased years ago.
Added the stamped image of the bird in the center using my
{Ippity} set Life is the Journey
and the sentiment is from
the {Ippity} set BE BRAVE...BRANCH OUT.
Ink used: VersaMagic - Sea Breeze and Cloud White
Embossing powder used: TH Distress Powder (Vintage Photo)
I simply made a small slit in the seam of the card to thread
the Crinkle Ribbon through together and then tied it into a bow off to the right of the card.

I used the sketch from the current
Chick Challenges Sketch #28 with Kim Bell

Other Challenges that I will enter with this card:

just in case you missed any previous posts!!

Now, what did I get done today...lots of DT assignments, closed out some open ended projects,
house cleaning, a walk to the train depot with the DH and Kids and, yes and, I am jamming to some
fun retro songs on Pandora.  It is turning out to be a
fantastic Sunday.
I hope you are as blessed to be enjoying this Day!

I knew when I saw the new sketch over at Chick Challenges #26, that I just had
to get out my new Chevron Packing Tape to use on my card.

I chose to work with the color theme at Play Date Cafe, too.

The photo at PDCC has these adorable bathing suits, which prompted me
by Jillibean Soup

and for the sketch and a requirement for the Little Scrap Pieces, I used a flower stamp
AND
then just placed my sentiment inside a 2" yellow circle (cut with my punch)
