****Friends with Flair Friday****

Today I am sharing a layout I finished yesterday
AND
a little inspiration help from the Outlawz - TT Bingo Challenge
I wanted to try for a full card, but opted to stop before I
used "Too Much"
my row: Punches/Die Cuts; Design Paper; Distress Inks/Inks

I used card stock by Darice and Recollections,
Quick Quotes Scrapbook Company Cherry Truffle dp,
3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon (Ice Blue, Cherry Lipstick, and Sunflower Yellow) for the spider roses and the Chevron Canvas Strip behind the title is also a product available at 3 Girl JAM

The large die cut shapes were cut using my Cricut Cartridge - Lacy Labels.

I used Black Archival Ink by Ranger on all the stamping.

These pictures were taken during our fun Girl's Trip to Akron, OH for the Adventures in Stamping show
and during our visit to Erica's Room!!!
So much fun!!!
I also want to add that I used the same technique from Becky Fleck of PageMaps that she featured at Scrapbook & Cards Today.

And of course I used Lots and Lots of stamps from Unity Stamp Company

For my card today, I started with a white card stock base.  I cut it at 6x6.  Then I cut the colored card stock into 2x2 squares (9 squares total).  I cut my dp (all from my stash) at 1 3/4 x 1 3/4.  I inked the white edges with a soft turquoise Studio G ink.  All of the die cuts that I used were a generous gift from my sweet Blend, Nataliya of Love Crafts Forever.  I used 3 separate Unity Stamps on my project, inked them with black Versa Ink, and heat embossed them with a black shiny embossing powder using my heating tool.  The stamps I used were Vintage Handwritten (Iron Orchid Itty Bitty) on the birdcage, a flower print on the bird is from  A Mother's Love, and the sentiment is from Dutch Mustard Soup (by Jillibean Soup). The roses are from I Am Roses and the corsage pin is one of my very own creations.  The bow at the top of the bird cage was created using

(lately I have really loved using my heat embossing tools.  Now pair that with Unity Stamps and I am in heaven....LOL)
The beads in my creation are one of my very own hand made corsage pins using
glass blown beads and clear plastic beads.

I also will be linking my project up to the current
Unity Stamp Co. -  Friends with Flair!!!

Coloring Book Mini Album for the Birthday Girl

Today at the Creative Scrapbooking Divas Mansion, I am sharing a birthday gift I made for sweet Ariana who will be turning 4 on April 3rd.  She is always peeking around the corner when I am browsing through all of my digi images.  Her soft, sweet, little voice always asks "can you make me a picture to color mommy?"
This gave me an idea . . . why not make her very own coloring book with some of the
girly images she loves so much.
I am happy to link up to the following challenges with this gift:

Queen of my Craftroom: Mini Album
The Outlawz - PAM032412 - Add a Bow (the bigger the better)

Simon Says - BINGO (flowers. lace, ribbon/twine)

I started with Medium Chipboard and printed out 8 images
from various artists:
and

I printed 4 images to one page, leaving the images to measure 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 after being cut.  This gave me the opportunity to cut my chipboard a bit larger so that the coloring pages fit inside comfortably.  I adhered the tops of the images together using Tacky Glue.
I used a hole punch to cut 5 holes across the top of the front and back covers to be able to feed ribbon through later.   I also made a tent to house the stack of images.  I adhered this using wood glue.  The clothespins are always handy when gluing something together.  They keep it taunt and you can set it up off of the surface you are working on so that it can dry.

I then covered the  chipboard with some dp I received from my Blend
Cindy at cre8ivecindy.  I really liked the cream color for the front and the flower print for the back.

After picking out some coordinating embellishments and a fun stamp by Unity Stamp Co., it was all coming together beautifully.

The pink sticker has a cute little sentiment that I felt was fitting for my sweetheart daughter.
It says, "i just love you plain and simple".  This left room for me to add
some alphas to place her name in the center.
This tag and the red flower next to it are from a set called
Lickety Splits by Imaginisce.  I stacked a few old buttons in the center of the flower.
Then I added a punched butterfly given to me by my BFF, Teresa.
By the way, Teresa is the New Blog on the Block
and can be found at skybluepink creations.  Pop over and say hello.
Photobucket

I tied some other ribbons from my stash to the top for added flair, and put the coloring pages inside.

I got the pink lace out of my stash and pleated it along the bottom and then added a satin olive green bow to offset all the pastel colors.

It is all complete.
I am super excited to give this to her on her birthday!

Thanks for stopping by the Craft Shaque and for visiting the Mansion!

Showcase: Teresa's Card for CSDivas DT Monday

Today for my CSDivas DT Post, I am changing it up a bit.

The CSDivas have been an avid part of who I am as a crafter and creator and have helped me grow tremendously over the last year.  Since they are so warm and inviting, I wanted to share their encouragement with Teresa, my BFF.   So for today, I am showcasing a few crafty projects she completed.

She doesn't have a blog yet (but this is on my to do list to help her out...he he he).

She was  visiting this weekend to celebrate the 4 birthdays that took place this month just in our house....LOL.  Haylee is now 2, Lance Jr. is now 5,  I just turned 30 something, with the DH, Lance a day behind me turning 30 something as well.  Teresa and I have always shared compassion for art and I was blown away when she arrived today.  Look what she brought with her....

She said that she wanted to give us an Island Getaway!!!  LOVE IT!!!

Teresa spent a lot of time working on this fabulous cake for the entire February Birthday crew . . . and it was so so so very yummy.  The kids couldn't wait to dip into the wonderful waterfall of sugary sweet goodness.

After cake, there was crafty time.  Because, what is a BFF visit without some crafty time, right???
While I sat at my computer to show Teresa some inspiration and enable her to join Pinterest (LOL), she got started right away.  She knew she wanted to make a Birthday card for her dear sweet SIL, Jenn.   Isn't this lovely?  I think Teresa is really a true natural at this....don't you?

TH Distress Inks and Embossing Powder
Ovals cut using Creative Memories tools

I want to help her out by entering this into a few challenges, too.  She always gets to hear my excitement when I tell her I won an honorable mention,  a top pick or a prize at the challenge blogs.  I would love to see her excitement with her first win.....

Teresa's Crafty Visit and ADORABLE Card

Hello Bloggers!!  I am going to let Teresa hijack my blog to tell you about her A*D*O* R*A*B*L*E card she just finished.  I love having my BFF over to share in crafty time and am so happy to be her little "enabler".  We made a fun trip to our local craft store and 2 hours later returned home to get crafty.

So without further ado, I now present you to Teresa . . . .

Hello everyone.  I am happy to be learning how to blog.  I am good with writing emails, but have never blogged.   I have always enjoyed crafting and have just started getting back into working with paper.  I used to decoupage anything I could get my hands on....LOL.  Now, I am really having a lot of fun with paper crafts (ie cards, altered items, tags, etc.).  I was lucky enough to get a Cricut for V-Day from my DH and just purchased a Sizzix Texture Boutique.  I love visiting Jessica for crafty time together.  I grab her list of challenges, look at the sketches, and decide which ones I would like to play around with.

I can't wait to read all your comments and welcome your input.

I started with a light brown textured card stock as my base.  I gathered some coordinating dp from my new Recollections Stack - Bold Basics.  I followed the sketch from Ribbon Carousel this week.  The image is from the fabulous Meljen's Designs colored with Whisper Strokes Dual Tip Watercolor Markers and colored pencils.  Twine is Cappuccino by The Twinery.  The grapevine hearts were a crafty find at the LSS.  I used the MS enchanted heart punch for the 2 hearts along the outside of the oval image.  Buttons from stash.

Challenge Entries:
Allsorts - #142 AG
Meljen's Designs - #97 AG
Penny's Paper Crafty - #73 AG

Do You Believe in Magic - Friends with Flair Friday (early)

Today's card is one full of color.
I LOVE COLOR.
My BFF came to visit for a crafty day and
brought a huge box of her newly acquired crafty goodies!
She happened to bring some Rainbow Papers and
I instantly new I wanted to use them up.
I started with basic white card stock for my base.
I used textured cardstock to mat the rainbow paper, holographic paper, and stamped image and sentiments.
The rainbow paper was embossed using my swirl folder by Darice.
I used the new border punch Teresa brought with her to accent the right hand side of my card.
The sentiment is from the Unity set - the TIME is NOW
The image is from the Unity KOM 8/09 following my heart....
I colored the image using my Whisper Strokes.

I will be linking up with Unity tomorrow for the weekly Friends with Flair.
If you don't follow the FWF yet and you love Unity and {Ippity}, it
is an awesome weekly link up with
the opportunity to gain new friends and obtain some beautiful inspiration
along the way!!!

I will also enter this card into the following challenges:

Did you HOP yet? Teresa made a card, too

Happy Monday to all of my fine Blends.

Have you gotten the chance to Hop through the
Blends Join Hands celebration Blog Hop yet?
If not, start HERE

I am running a bit behind due to the fun celebration and will be posting the weekly Making It To The Mailbox Monday {MITTMM} episode later today.

I am happy to post a couple of cards today after a fun-filled weekend.  Teresa visited again and OF COURSE we did some crafting.  I think I need to set up a guest room so we can have these "crafty retreats" ALL the time.  LOL!!  I am sharing her card with all of you and letting you know that each time we talk, I share the comments you send regarding her creations, and she appreciates each and every one of you!!!!

Teresa was really inspired to play with the current challenge theme at Create Me Pink - #6 - Color Splash (Black, White and a splash of color).  We spilled all of my stamps out onto the floor and got a few Cricut cartridges out to get started.  She had a general idea at first, but was pleasantly surprised that her creation took a completely different path to the finish line.
She started with a basic white texture card stock and randomly stamped the swirl image (by inque boutique) using Ranger Archival Black ink.  She wanted the image to look washed out and distressed so I handed her some sandpaper and let her "have at it".  She then decided to use the Serenade cartridge to cut the tree, clouds, and birds.  She wanted the birds to meet with a heart in the center, so she cut that from Cricut Classic Font cartridge.  The sentiment is from My Pink Stamper - Love-a-licious set. and stamped using VersaMagic in cloud white.

I will enter her  card into the following challenges (GOOD LUCK TERESA)!!!
