a wide range of projects that encompass all things SPRING!

There will be one prize offered to one random person.  To be eligible
you MUST leave a comment on each and every Diva’s blog on all three days,
and on each daily post here at CSD, letting us know that you have commented
on each of the blogs.
 GRAND PRIZE

While you are hopping along, you may find that a Diva may be offering
a prize on their own personal blog as well.  So you definitely won’t want to
skip over anyone.

Did you get a chance to see all the lovely projects the Divas DT created Monday and Tuesday?
Great inspiration from them all!

To  continue with my flower theme, I chose to make a wreath for the final day of the Hop!

This wreath doesn't have any Cricut Cuts but I did make the rosettes from
some wired ribbon, paper flowers, and glittery paper.  I added the Mardi Gras beads and a few other Easter/Spring embellishments (jellishments are by doodlebug design inc.) which I had in my stash since last Easter.  The wreath is a 12" grapevine  round wreath.  I started by wrapping my set of lights first, then adding some pink ribbon, and finishing the outside with a fabulous yellow ribbon full of fun and colorful Easter eggs.  I almost forgot I had it, until I found it at the bottom of a ribbon box yesterday!  SCORE!!!.   I wrapped the beads around next, leaving ample space in between each wrap.  Next came the rosettes.  These were made with the same technique you use to make paper rosettes, then finished off with some paper flowers and false stamens in the centers. I chose to use several of the other embellishments to accent the color scheme of the ribbons and flowers.

close up of the adorable little bunny!

I owe my inspiration to a few challenges that helped inspire me (since I really haven't had much of my own crafty mojo to run on lately) to create this Home Decor.

Allsorts #145 Say it With Flowers
Queen of My Craftroom - Spring Altered Project
Krafty Girls - #3 Get Growing (handmade flower)

For my blog candy, I will offer up some 'random' Unity Stamps to one lucky follower and commenter.  Unfortunately, due to personal finances right now and the high prices of international shipping, I will only be able to mail the candy to a winner in the US or Canada.  I really hate to do this, because I have a lot of lucky Blends that live over seas.  I have never not included them, and have been able to ship to as far as India in the past.   But, the time will come when I am offering candy again (some time in the future) where you will ALL be included, once again.  I hope you can understand.

To win, be sure to follow my blog and stop back all three days for the hop and leave a comment on each day's post.

Did you get a chance to see all the lovely projects the Divas DT created yesterday?
Great inspiration from them all!
*************
So, yesterday I talked about the lovely blooms that offer a cheeriness to your mood in spring time.  I also love all the bright colors that envelope our idea of Spring.  So, I just had to play with the March 6th Color Challenge at the Outlawz and use this color palette...(and add a rosette)
Isn't that just screaming SPRING IS HERE!!!!???!!!!

So, I gathered some random dp from a stack I received as Blog Candy a little while ago.  It is a small stack by Rowena Stott.  I grabbed my new Unity Ippity Itty Bitty - fabulous girl, and started paper piecing.  I used some of the papers from the Quick Quotes Cherry Truffle stack for my rosette and added a pretty pink button.  I grabbed some tulle from my stash, Harvest Orange 3 Girl JAM crinkle ribbon and started to put it all together.

My sweet daughter Ariana, will be turning 4 years old on April 3rd and she is the epitome of a girly girl.  She will really enjoy this sweet birthday card.  She is the only person in our household who celebrates a Spring Birthday.  It was fun putting this all together.  Did I mention, I really love this color palette? LOL!

I also chose to work with the sketch from the current Chick Challenge #21

FUN! ! ! !

I will be entering this into a few other challenges to, since they inspired me to create!!!
It doesn't get much girly than dresses and flowers and pretty ribbon, right? LOL
Image and sentiment by Unity
Tulle and Harvest Orange 3Girl JAM ribbon
1 - Rosette, 2 - roses from I Am Roses, 1- button
3 dp all from The Country Diary of An Edwardian Lady paper stack (used on dresses)

One of the best  things about Spring, is when the colors start emerging out of the ground and bloom into gorgeous arrays of cheerful scenery.  I love all types of flowers and was super excited to get the opportunity to use my Flower Shoppe Cartridge.  It hadn't seen much action since I purchased it a few months ago.  Why not for Spring?

I cut a lot of different flowers at different sizes.  I used some really old papers that I had in a stash from early last year.  It was a retro stack by K&Company, I believe.  I chose to use oranges, yellows, teals, and reds.  I also used my core'dinations "Produce Greens" for the leaves.  I sanded the leaves before applying them behind each flower.  For the stems, I took some ordinary wooden kabob skewers and inked them up with a mixture of Adrinondak Alcohol Inks (Stream blue and Sunshine yellow).  I used a dab of hot glue here and there and placed the stems in a beautiful old vase courtesy of my sweet MIL.  My bouquet is now complete!

My little sweet Ariana, who will be 4 next month, has claimed dibs on the vase of flowers.  She thinks it is "so pretty" so it will set in her room for her to admire.

Dream to create the future....altered notebook

What a week so far....
it seems that every time I get the crafty bug under my feet
it gets squashed by
the housework bug,
the extra mommy and kids' time bug
and
the mommy needs a nap bug
. . . LOL!

Nonetheless, I am thankful
that I did get a little crafty time in
over the last 4 days.

I was hoping to finish
this altered composition book
for my Monday DT Post at the Creative Scrapbooking Divas,
but as you read, those silly bugs kept getting in the way...LOL
and I didn't meet my deadline.

I am happy to be sharing it today.
The long awaited time to finish it was all worthwhile in the end.
I am really happy with how pretty it turned out.
Not to toot my own horn or anything, but you
have those kinds of moments, right?

The papers are from a 2007 MME Mademoiselle/Tres' Jolie Collection named "Darling"
along with some Recollections card stock.  The Cappuccino and Buttercream twine used is from The Twinery.  The pink twine use is from Doodlebug Designs.  The lace trim at the top is from 2011MME ~ Stella and Rose collection named "Little Lady" Trims.
The pink trim with beads was a crafty steal I picked up at my LSS....yay!!!!
All ink is TH Vintage Photo, TH Antique Linen and edge ink is from Studio G Brown.  I heat embossed the majority of the images using matching TH Distress Embossing Powders.
The pink Twine along the bind was threaded through eyelets by Making Memories I added to the outer covers before adhering them to the book.  I hand crafted the beaded charm at the top using several of my glass beads from my collection and some brown embroidery thread.  The heart button and hounds-tooth chipboard embellishment are from my stash.  A little added pink Studio G glitter glue, and the masterpiece (LOL) was finished.
All stamps used are by Unity. . .
Clock and A Always and Forever sentiment - from Unity Feb KOM {lucky to have you}
Tag Sentiment, Bird, and Birdcage- random stamps from a Grab Bag purchase
Small butterflies - Dutch Mustard Soup by Jillibean
Large Butterfly - from Unity Jan KOM {HEART and SOUL}
I made this with some inspiration and help from some crafty challenge blogs....
thank GOD for these blogs.  They truly do inspire
me when I am at a roadblock with crafty ideas.
Dutch Dare - #154 Tic-Tac-Toe ( I used Ribbon, Distressing, and Button)

Thank You So Much for all of the love you show me....It is all truly magnificent and
a great way to keep me going!!!

Showcase: Teresa's Card for CSDivas DT Monday

Today for my CSDivas DT Post, I am changing it up a bit.

The CSDivas have been an avid part of who I am as a crafter and creator and have helped me grow tremendously over the last year.  Since they are so warm and inviting, I wanted to share their encouragement with Teresa, my BFF.   So for today, I am showcasing a few crafty projects she completed.

She doesn't have a blog yet (but this is on my to do list to help her out...he he he).

She was  visiting this weekend to celebrate the 4 birthdays that took place this month just in our house....LOL.  Haylee is now 2, Lance Jr. is now 5,  I just turned 30 something, with the DH, Lance a day behind me turning 30 something as well.  Teresa and I have always shared compassion for art and I was blown away when she arrived today.  Look what she brought with her....

She said that she wanted to give us an Island Getaway!!!  LOVE IT!!!

Teresa spent a lot of time working on this fabulous cake for the entire February Birthday crew . . . and it was so so so very yummy.  The kids couldn't wait to dip into the wonderful waterfall of sugary sweet goodness.

After cake, there was crafty time.  Because, what is a BFF visit without some crafty time, right???
While I sat at my computer to show Teresa some inspiration and enable her to join Pinterest (LOL), she got started right away.  She knew she wanted to make a Birthday card for her dear sweet SIL, Jenn.   Isn't this lovely?  I think Teresa is really a true natural at this....don't you?

Cosmo Cricket - Primrose (dbl sided)
Sentiments from My Pink Stamper - Birthday Crazy
TH Distress Inks and Embossing Powder
Ovals cut using Creative Memories tools
Rose by I Am Roses
Pearls, Lace and Fibers from Stash
Embossed with dots folder and damask folder
Metal charm - Pixie Press

I want to help her out by entering this into a few challenges, too.  She always gets to hear my excitement when I tell her I won an honorable mention,  a top pick or a prize at the challenge blogs.  I would love to see her excitement with her first win.....
Sentiment Sunday - #91 Pearls and Lace

I got out my papers and tools and started crafting.  I am sharing this project over at Creative Scrapbooking Divas for my DT Friday Post.  Please hop over to The Mansion to read up on all of the details there!!!

DT Friday at CSDivas: Altered Taco Box

It's Friday and that means I am creating and posting for
I am highlighting an altered item I finished to give to my daughter Ariana.

A while back, you may recall, I had made a few "special boxes" for my kiddos.  If you would like to peek at those, click HERE to see Lance Jr.'s and HERE to see Gabriella's.  My intentions were to make one for each of the three smaller kids.  Well, as my mind wandered down new paths, and I got caught up in other crafts probably, I neglected to finish a box for sweet little Ariana.
Mommy is so sorry honey!  I Love You!
I would love it you would stop over, browse around
The Mansion (our blog) and become a follower if you like what you see.

I am entering my project into the following challenges:

Unity Opportunity - Ippity challenge: Something Old, New, Borrowed, Blue
Old:  Box      New: Papers and embellishments      Borrowed:  Vintage Button        Blue:  Flowers
Creations by Gill M - #1 3D Decoupage Creation
Lots of Mod Podge (hope that counts)

The Kraft Journal - #55 Tie It Up
Bakers Twine

Crafts and Me - #68 Pink and Sparkly
Lots of bling, sparkly butterflies, and glittery chipboard alphas

{Cupcake Inspirations}- #144
LOVE these colors and found the perfect papers to use!

I will also be linking this project up to the FWF at Unity today.

Remember, all of the details of this project came to be can be found HERE.

Here is the finished "Special Box"

All stamps used are from the Unity January KOM - {HEART and SOUL}

This is my second post today where I am highlighting the natural creativity and talents of my BFF of 30+ years, Teresa.  Teresa and I grew up together and have been inseparable ever since.  I mean we did have moments of time that passed by where we weren't always in touch, but once we reunited, it was like we never skipped a step.  She and I have so many things in common that it made it easy to convince her to join in on my crafty obsession with blogging, hopping, creating, & challenges!

For her second card, she said, "I think I want to try a sketch this time".  So she chose to work with the Always Playing with Paper Merry Monday Sketch - #3 {Let It Snow}.  She had a blast putting her own twist on it.  I let her have complete reign over the craft table and supplies, while I completed my Makin' It to The Mailbox Mondays {MITTMM} #10 post yesterday.  It was so fun to watch her do things that I know I have done and you all can probably relate to in some capacity.  She placed her papers together, decided what shape she wanted to use and how she would apply a sentiment.  Then what other cuts she might add.  She is learning the Cricut a lot faster than I did and is loving every minute of it.  Then to watch her stand back and glare at her card, thinking, it still needed a little something.  I suggested, she play a bit with the Big Shot and some glitter glue.  She jumped all over that idea.   I LOVED IT!

Here is her wonderful!!!! card!!!!
Base card stock is texture cs by Darice; DP are from my stash; She cut the snowflakes and Brrr from Graphically Speaking; She used Lacy Labels for her center frames; She used the snowflake and argyle embossing folders; Studio G clear glitter glue; Rhinestones in the centers of the layered snowflakes & The sentiment is by Whimsical Designs - Snow Much Fun

I am happy to enter her card into the following challenges:
Fantabulous Cricut - #94 Snow Fun
My Craft Spot - #41 Snow Much Fun
Always Playing with Paper Merry Monday Sketch - #3 {Let It Snow}
ABC Christmas Challenge - A for Anything Goes
The Paper Players - #78 Color Challenge

Still more to share today.....so stay tuned!!!!

Creative Scrapbooking Divas - Snow One Like You

Today I am highlighting this card and all the details at Creative Scrapbooking Divas for my DT Friday post.

I really do love this cute little card.  It took a little while to complete in between kids coming home and dinner and such!!!  But all in all, the time was well spent.  The Outlawz Sketch SC0111 was an instant "I can't wait to try that one" and the paper colors were inspired by Ribbon Carosuel Challenge - RCC35 Inspirational Pic!

The base card stock is from Recollections.  The chocolate brown is from a stack in my stash.  I stamped the Snowflake from Sweet Stamps using Cloud White VersaMagic onto the chocolate card stock.  I distressed all of the edges of each layer.  I embossed the white squares using my Snowflakes folder, then adhered some Recycled silver snowflake confetti from a gift received at Christmas.   I will enter this card into these additional challenges:
Fab 'n Funky - #103 Recycle It Challenge
Sentimental Sundays : #84 Snow, Blue, and/or Glitter
Made Especially for You - Machine Embossing

I placed some Icy Blue 3 GirlJAM Ribbon along the bottom and added a bow after tying it with by BowEasy.  The sentiment is by Unity Stamp Co., but I am not sure what set as it was a random stamp included in a Grab Bag I purchased last month.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink and Embossing powder in Vintage Photo for the sentiment.

Here is the Outlawz sketch I used:
Here is the RCC photo inspiration:

many, many thanks with tons of challenge inspiration

I had the papers already sitting out on my craft table, when I came across the weekly challenge at Cupcake Inspirations (see below for link).  I JUST KNEW I had to work on this one right away.  I knew I was wanting to finish a Thank You card because so many people were hosting challenges for this, and I really need to replenish my stash.  So off to craft I went.  It took minimal time since I had the idea bouncing around in my head for a few days.

I started with bright orange card stock by Recollections, matted two rectangle pieces of flower print dp using black card stock, cut the center scallop and black matte from Lacy Labels cartridge at 3", inked the swirl with butterflies, leaf, sentiment, butterfly in the center using my Ranger Archival Ink (black), and then finished off by adding glitter, bling and pearls.  The stamps are all from {Ippity} by Unity sets Music of My Heart and Now & Always.  The crocheted flower was included in the packaging from an order I received from Ippity Chick Rona

Here is the finished card....Hope you like it!!!

BIO: Delicious Doodles is a relatively young company with myself, Teri, as the Sole Trader. I have doodled and sketched all of my life, but only started selling my images in the Autumn of 2009.

I design and hand/mouse-draw all of the images that are sold in the DeliciousDoodles Shop. Some are cutesie animals, some are sketched flowers, there are a few men's images, some fantasy items and also some 'darker' images featuring Vampires, skulls and Gothic stuff, something for everyone!
Delicious Doodles also has its own Challenges on blogger and a shop blog page featuring inspiration from the Design Team.

And now you can find my images at Sweet Pea Stamps as Rubber Stamps too!

I hope you enjoy using your Delicious Doodles images!
Hugs,

Teri xx
