Now onto my project . .

Holy Crafting Batman, I finished a Layout.  I am not quite sure when I completed a layout last....WOW.  I decided today was the day.  I have been really focused on completing cards (because they are so fun to create) that I have desperately neglected making layouts.  And with 5 children, a husband, 2 dogs and a bird....I better keep up!  LOL!!!

I started with the sketch challenge at PageMaps because it was just too darn adorable not to.    I loved the simplicity of the sketch, but the diversity it has really called out to me, too.

I chose to use some of the Basic Grey Papers from the stack I won this month from my Blend Cindy at cre8tivecindy.  I really adore the vibrant colors and prints on the papers I chose.  This led me to use some alcohol ink (splatters) across my background card stock.  Now the mojo was flowing.  I placed the 6 squares down to play around with embellishments and stamps to see where I would go next.  I got out the fabby handmade flowers I won from my Blend Nataliya at Love Crafts Forever. They matched PERFECTLY!
I decided to ink up the plain white rik rak with some blue and pink alcohol ink then spray a light mist of perfect pearls over the top.  I thought to myself, "what is my layout missing?"  Well, you all know how much I LOVE UNITY.  I figured I would pull out my stamps, and  see if I could find some fun stamps to use.  So, as I waited for my splatters and homemade glimmer mist to dry, I kept going back and forth with the stamps, but kept coming back to all of the stamps that had hearts.  I guess the Valentine's Day Bug caught up with me.

Since I was using a lot of hearts, I decided to enter my layout in the current challenge over at Get Hippity with Ippity - Hearts, Hearts and more Hearts.  I also decided to incorporate the elements of the current Unity Opportunity {ippity} Challenge - Something Old, Something New,  into my layout.  Old:  Yellow/Blue crocheting yarn. New:  The Unity stamps (never used before), the BG papers from Cindy and the handmade flourishes from Nataliya.  Borrowed:  The vintage/retro buttons were brought to me by my dear BFF, Teresa from her dear mother (who I miss very much...Hope to see you seen Oma).  Blue:  Alcohol ink splatters, aqua handmade glimmer mist, and the ink for the heart, title, and journaling is a Blue ink by Darice.  For my layout, I used the following stamps: {Ippity} - Here and Now  {Remember the Time} title, Unity set the Time is Now - heart sentiment/ornament, Unity March 2010 KOM - Rockin'  It Unity Style - journaling lines.

Now, it is trivia giveaway time . . .
I will randomly select one winner to win a few Unity Stamps.  Just send me an email @ strgazrblueyes22477{yahoo}com telling me the DATE & TITLE
of my last blog post where I shared a layout!
Please title your email TRIVIA Giveaway
I will choose one winner on Monday at 12:00 p.m. EST!
