Hope this post finds all of my lovely followers doing well and maybe even enjoying a bit of craft time to themselves. If I didn't get around to wishing you a Happy New Year, I take this opportunity to wish you well and prosperous during 2012! I hope your Holidays of 2011 were blessed and you were able to enjoy some Family and Friends companionship!!!
Today, I was eager to get to crafting. I had a lot of ideas running through my head and REALLY NEEDED to release all that energy into a creation. Plus I couldn't wait to Link Up to the Unity Linky Partyto share and gain some wonderful Unity Inspiration!!!
I just loved, loved, loved, the new 1. Unity January Kit of the Month Sketch Challenge!!!
I also loved, loved, loved the new 2. Tuesday Color Challenge at The Outlawz!!!
I started my card with a Kraft card stock base that I embossed with my Butterflies folder. I distressed the outer edges with my Tim Holtz Distress Tool. I added the frame, which was cut at 3 1/2" using Lacy Labels/All Girl first on white card stock and then on coral colored dp. I hand cut the banner for the sentiment using the same papers. The heart stamp and sentiment are by Unity and are from the August 09 Kit of Month - Following My Heart. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo, embossed them with TH Embossing Powder, also in Vintage Photo and used a heat tool to finish. The buttons are from my stash and the beaded corsage pin is one that I created myself. The beautiful crinkle ribbon is from 3 Girl JAM in Cherry Lipstick and Antique White.
Other Challenge Entries:
3. Dutch Dare Card Challenges - #145 My Favorite Things (I just love my 3GirlJAM ribbons and my Unity Stamps)!!!
4. Sentimental Sundays - #83 AG
5. Robyn's Fetish (formerly known as I Did It Creations) - #88 AG
6. Penny Black and More - JAN challenge Love and Hearts
7. Craft Your Passion - #91 AG + distressing
8. The Kraft Journal - AG
That is all I have for now, but hopefully I will have several more posts before weeks end!!!
