☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺

Heather and I have became close friends after meeting in
a group of Facebook called Ohio Scrappers.
She actually visited me yesterday with her kids
making the total kid count 12!!!
We survived without any major scrapes and bruises...LOL

Heather and I have often talked about
getting together to do some mixed
media work, but this is a messy venture.

With 12 kids during the visit yesterday
(I have my niece and nephew right now),
or even just the regular 10 of OUR combined children,
that is really not a good idea to get
all the mixed media supplies out and start.

So, knowing that this is something we
both share in interest in,
I decided to finish a mixed media canvas
as a gift to Heather for her 1st Blog Hop!

I sure hope she likes the finished piece.
Supplies :
8x10 canvas; acrylic paints; alcohol inks; glitter glue; scrap paper.
The charms, bead (nose), flowers, trim, and buttons(eyes) are all from stash
For the feathers on the body, I used my Pink By Designs-Small Hexagons stamp
on purple and pink scrap paper.
I then embossed all the purple ones with white embossing powder.
After fussy cutting, I placed them on the canvas, alternating the colors.
The soft face and legs of my owl were created
by using my exacto knife to shred white Rik-Rak trim a
nd adhering it in place.
I also used some Unity Stamps from the
May KOM - LOVE in an INSTANT (cloud),
April KOM - FOLLOW your own (sentiment)
and the background stamp
Up Against A Wall by Marah Johnson.

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺
Now you will HOP over to the Wonderful, Julie K of 3 Girl JAM
☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺
Here is the HOP Lineup in case you get lost along the way

☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺
I am linking my project up to
Unity Friends with Flair Friday
☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺ ☺
