Shake a Tail Feather - 3 Girl JAM

Happy Tuesday Blends!!!

I surely hope you are all doing well!
The storms along the East Coast
are horrendous
and we
are surely feeling the effects
here in Amherst, Ohio...
The wind gusts are treachorous
and the rain continues.

I am praying for all of those
who are in the midst of the storm!

Today, I am happy to share a card I made
for my Design Team spot at
Card base is Kraft.
The bird is cut from Indie Art Cricut Cartridge at 4".
Papers -  Authentique - Glory and  Core'dinations Golden Pearl.
Feathers and sentiment are from the Unity Set - Tail Feather
(Artists: Tifany DeGough & Joselyn Nielson)
I heat embossed the feathers and inside sentiment
using blue denim and gold dust embossing powders.

I added some Dew Drop Brilliance (Galaxy Gold)
around the outer edges.

I used the gorgeous
Crinkle Ribbon to create this fun Ribbon Flower.

I also used the yellow for my bird's bow.
I guess I didn't realize how easy it was
to make super teeny-tiny bows
with the
Wow I am impressed
and see more teeny-tiny bows
in future projects!

Theme Day Thursday - Religious Cards

Welcome To

Today's Theme
at My Cricut Craft Room
is
Religious Cards

I struggled a bit after I signed up for this week's
Theme Day Thursday.
I had planned on using some of the
religious script stickers
in my stash,
but I didn't think about
which Cricut Cartridge I would use.
Oy Vey!!!

So I scoured my collection, which only
took a brief moment...LOL,
and the light bulb
began to shine above my head!
Over The Hill Cricut Cartridge
<insert bright light>

This cartridge has some fun cuts.
I was particularly drawn
to the Gate Fold card, that
literally has a Gate Layer.

I cut the base layer (card) using a cloud/sky design card stock.
For the top layer (gate), I used a shimmery silver card stock.
Both were cut at Fit To Page (7 inches)
There were some extra
swirls near the lower valleys of the top edge
of the card.
I trimmed them to make this look a little less, spooky.

To decorate the inside of the card,
I used a vellum Scripture sticker by Creative Imaginations,
a fun Cherub resin I got from a very sweet
friend, Heather Flaherty of I Heart {ippity},

When I cut the Belly Band that
accompanies the card,
I also did Fit To Page (7 inches).
When  scoring it to fit around the card,
the two ends didn't match up on the back.
I guess that is  the reason
there was a little red 3" marked in the booklet.
(that'll teach me)

I looked at the bright side
and figured this gave me an opportunity
to play with some of my ribbons and fibers
that get neglected sometimes.

I found a fabulous feathery white fiber
in my stash to bring the two ends together.
I used my hole punch
to create small holes to feed the fiber through.

I chose to tie the ends in the front,
rather than the back like instructed
(Rebel, I know...ha ha ha)

Now, be sure to stop over to

projects created by MCCR

Unity FWF & WCMD Challenge #4 - Sketch

Happy FRIDAY Blends!!!

Hope you have fun crafty plans
included somewhere
along the line
this weekend
and that all
of you are doing well.

Last night I
had some MOJO
to craft a project for the
and
with today being FRIDAY
that means it is time
to share in the linky at Unity
for
Friends with Flair FRIDAY!

I started with Kraft card stock (4 1/4" x 5 1/2").
I knew I wanted
to use a few other stamps that
have been crafty neglected
from my collection.

I first stamped the wonderful Unity Stamp - in circle me background stamp
by artist Susan K Weckesser,  using a Rubber Stampede
inkpad in Petal Pink.

itty bitty by Unity with my
Big and Bossy embossing ink and heat embossed
with Whispers - Opaque embossing powder.

I used the large Motif from the  Spellbinders Die Cuts - Persian Motifs
to cut the center medallion.

I stamped the sun and cloud images along with
the small sentiment from
the Unity set Create you Day, also by Susan K Weckesser,
with my embossing ink onto the motif.

For a new technique,
I decided to try to use Pink Flocking Powder
over the wet ink and love the effect
it gave me.

I had a large circle in my scrap box and simple matched it to the top
of the card and cut where necessary.
I added a short string of Pink Beaded trim above that.

For the sentiment, I grabbed some cute
stickers by K*Company.

Here is the sketch I followed!
I am super excited to have
you stopping by
today

and, as always

Unity Stamp Co. WCMD Challenge #7 - Coloring

I have been so super  excited
to try to find time to play in more of the
World Card Making Day
challenges with Unity Stamp Co.

Well, I not only found the time today to do just that,
I also found time to
try out a new coloring technique.

A short while ago, Unity was having one of their
Mega Awesome Sales and I just HAD
to snag up on a bundle of Phyllis Harris goodies!

Here is the stamp I played with for my card today.
It is called
I was really eager to try the technique I "am learning" on how to
color with Prisma Pencils from a
fabulous Artist on the UnityTV YouTube Channel.

Would You Ever Guess Wednesday

Hello Crafty Blends
Today is the Fabulous

at My Cricut Craft Room.

For today's WYEGW project and post
we, the DT Members, were challenged
with using Create a Critter 1 or 2
but not being able to use an animal cut.

I used a few of the Halloween images from pages 53, 54, 55, & 56
on Create a Critter 2 cartridge along with some
other supplies in my stash.
AND . . . .
this is my first project EVER
using fun Action Wobbles!!!

I started with my kraft accordion file card and began making
cuts to fit on each of the 4 panels.

The papers I used for all of my cuts are from the
BoBunny - Apple Cider stack
DCWV - Rockstar stack
and
Simple Stories - Harvest Lane

I also covered each panel with a cream colored card stock,
then inked the edges with Color Box - Stucco
and TH Distress ink in Vintage Photo.

For the first panel, I used the cute pumpkin on page 54, cut at 3", and placed him
on an action wobble.
I also used a white gel pen, a border strip of black cats,
and a rub on sentiment from my stash.

For my second panel, I used the spider and web from page 53, cut at 2",
a border strip of cute spiders that matched,
purple glitter glue,
orange/melon colored pearls for the eyes,
and a rub on sentiment.

For my third panel, I used the cauldron on page 56, cut at 3", a cute
3D witch sticker, a border strip of crossbones, and a rub on sentiment .

For my fourth and final panel, I used the treat bag
and candy from page 55, cut at 2 1/2",
and placed the bag on an action wobble.
I also used some fun 3-D candy stickers,
Liquid Pears for the face on the bag, and a border strip of candy corn.
The I ♥ CANDY sentiment
is also a 3-D sticker.

I tied a small piece of ribbon to the top of each tag panel in
the same black and orange diamond pattern ribbon
that I purchased from a friend in the Scrapbook Deals on FB.
Thanks Haidee!

All About Pumpkins with 3 Girl JAM

Hello and Happy Tuesday
my sweet Blends!

Tuesdays, hmmmm....what could that mean?
Well, it means that I get to tell
you about the fun I had
with my 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon and Burlap!

I also played with some
of my new (never used, had a while)
Unity Stamps. ***giggle***

I like that I tried to go CAS on this one,
but still struggled with stopping
at a point that doesn't require
more...that is really hard for me...he he he!

I grabbed my box of 3 Girl JAM goodies
(yes they are in their own special box...equipped with a
on the front for easy finding!)
see......
Did you know you can get your
very own CUSTOM Flair Button
with your Personal or Business Blog
Logo or Blinkie design?
Yep, just click this >>>Link Here<<<

I really owe my inspiration
to the current
and a few others that I listed below.

If you like to play with Ribbon
then the current challenge is for you.
Why don't you LINK UP???
 You can do so
at the Challenge Blog
or right here on my Blog.
Just look for the Inlinkz on the right sidebar :O)

I grabbed my Goblin Green and Harvest Orange
Crinkle Ribbon and my roll of
fabulous 3 Girl JAM Burlap.
I first inked up my white doily with TH Antique Linen.
Then I threaded the fun Goblin Green ribbon through
the existing holes on the doily.  This is a bit tricky
and requires a little bit of patience if your doily is made of paper. LOL
The Harvest Orange was pleated on top of the burlap and ran
in a wave pattern to mimic the sketch I was using (see below).
The whimsical pumpkins are from a my little shoebox* set
by Unity called - a little trick or treat.
The ink was Orange by Rubber Stampede.
I cut 2 circles with my 2" circle punch, placed one directly'
on the back of the doily and added foam squares,
then placed the 2nd circle below that.

I stamped the sentiment directly on to my Kraft card stock
using Jumbo Java and one of the adorable
sentiment stamps in the Bella Blvd set
by Unity called - Finally Fall.
I then stamped the burlap using
my Christy Tomlinson - Chevron Background Stamp by Unity
and some VersaMagic - Jumbo Java brown ink.
I tried with a bit of orange and green, but they didn't show so well.
I then went over the entire piece with the brown again.

See, I decided to play with the Chick Challenge #46 sketch

- Cream, Brown, Olive and Pumpkin,
and decided which stamps to use
based on the

Now, if you haven't stopped over to

on some fabby inspiration
and amazing deals.

Boo Whoo Blog Hop.
October 13, 2012
Today's sponsor is Erica's Craft Room, please comment on all of the blogs to be entered to win the prizes: The Teresa Collins Chic & Scary Cricut Cartridge,
as well at the Pumpkin Carvings Cricut Cartridge.

You must be a follower of My Cricut Craft Room to win.

The projects shared
during the hop today
will have a theme of
Halloween - BOO
or
Owls - WHOO
or
BOTH!

The lineup of talent is amazing and I am so happy
to have you joining all of us.

If you arrived her from Robin Lane's Blog, then you are right on track.
If you just stumbled in and want to start
from the beginning,
head over to My Cricut Craft Room!

For my project, I decided to focus on the Halloween
elements and created a few fun party items.

A lot of the items were from my stash.
I used some packaging from a kid's toy set (old cardboard),
leftover cuts from Cricut Paper Doll Dress Up,
and some fun Spider Web borders that my
SFF, Heather Lynn cut for me during her
last visit to my house.

I started by grabbing some old
papers by Graphic 45 - Hallowe'en in Wonderland
and My Mind's Eye - Stella and Rose
to make my fun party hats.
The party hats were cut from the Cricut Artiste cartridge
at fit to page (7") and then adhered together using my ATG Gun.
I strung some fun 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon
through the hole in the top and knotted it from the inside.
I added a fun trim using some Orange BOO Ribbon

The linked chain was created by
cutting orange, green, and black card stock
into 1" x 6" strips.
I used my Teresa Collins Xyron 1.5" Sticker Maker
for 2 of my Web Border strips.
Once that was done, they were placed on the strips, then I sprinkled
some chunky orange and fine gold dust glitter on to the webs.
I glued all of the links together to create the chain
with my Hot Glue Gun.

To allow the little Dress Up Frankenstein, Pumpkin Girl, and Ghost
stand upright, I simple took a 2" circle (leftover from my
table decor piece) as a "stand".  I folded it
in half then glued a portion of it
to the foot of the doll.

For my Table Decor Art Piece,
I used an old piece of cardboard that was already tri-folded.
When the outer flaps were drawn inward,
the front measured 4 5/8" x 6"

I used a strip of wood grain card stock
to bring the two flaps together in the back.
A few small scraps to cover the ends.

I had a leftover piece of leaf card stock, that
just so happened to fit the entire "frame", front and
back, perfectly.

After covering it with card stock,
and adhering the two flaps together in the back,
it now became a free-standing "frame".

I then cut a bunch of 2" circles
from the leftover Graphic 45 and MME paper.
I placed them on the 4 5/8" x 6" front
of the cardboard in rows,  staggering the colors
of the double sided papers.

I added the small ghost and pumpkin cuts (leftovers from
previous cuts with the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge as well)
onto the front and outlined each of them with glitter
(Stardust Stickles and Orange Studio G)

I am not sure of the brand
of the foam alphas, but they too, are from my stash.

I hope you enjoyed my project and now
it is time to Hop over to the Wonderful
Erica's Blog Candy Blog.
