One Beautiful Day

!!! HAPPY MONDAY !!!
Blends and 3 Girl JAM-mers

I am happy to be the Design Team Member posting at the 3 Girl JAM Blog today!

It is such an honor for me to be a part of this team from the first Hoorah!  I can't foresee me every departing.  I have a MAD CRUSH on Julie K's Crinkle Ribbon and do not have a desire to seek any type of recourse for the addiction.  (LOL)

Here is the Project I am sharing:

This card took about 10 minutes total to put together, which is quite the record for me.  I tend to always want to add "more" as I craft, but this time, I forced myself to stop sooner.  I would like to try my hand at "speed crafting" a lot this year.  It will help me to get more projects completed and open the door for me to try my hand at tackling more of the fun techniques on my "to-do" list.

I started with a 5.5 in. x 5.5 in. Purple Card Base
--- David Tutera: Celebrate Card Sets
(several of the DT Card sets are available at the Pinque Peacock Discount Hut)

The Peacock Feather patterned paper was cut at 5.25 in. x 5.25 in. and distressed around the edges using my Tim Holtz distressing tool!
--- Recollections Signature Serious PRETTY AS A PEACOCK 12X12 stack
(This was a fabulous gift from my Sweet Crafty Friend Heather F.---thanks Heather :) )

The sentiment tag is also from the same Pretty Peacock stack and was cut to fit within the center of my card.  I simply masked it with a lighter shade of purple card stock then used some foam squares to give it some height on the front of the card.  I love that glittery peacock, don't you?

I used the Ribbon Candy Red Crinkle Ribbon from the 3 Girl JAM Shop to create a sweet Pleated Petal - Elegant Floral for my card.

I love making these flowers for the Pinque Peacock Shop Customers.
It's always fun to use them on my own creations, too.
I adorned the elegant floral with a Pearl Beaded Stick Pin (also from Pinque Peacock) and a few paper roses from another sweet crafty friend, Adele, who sells them!

Valentine's Day Party Pack
Upcycled Wine Bottle Lighted Centerpiece
Cookie Box
and Valentines for Guests

I had an idea and just had to keep running until I finished.  I wanted to use as many 3 Girl JAM products as possible to show everyone how wonderful each and every item truly is to craft with.
I was able to use
Crinkle Ribbon
Twine

Flair Buttons
and
the Bow Maker

I  can honestly say that this was the first time I was able to really envision a project and have the outcome be exactly what I was hoping for when I finished.
♥-♥-♥-♥-♥-♥-♥-♥-♥

I started with an empty Sangria Bottle...mmmmmm (LOL).  As I was peeling the label off, I realized how sticky it was and decided to stick the label to a piece of clear plastic from my stash.  I then punched out about 20 hearts with my handheld puncher (not sure of the brand, cuz I have had it for years).  Now I had handmade stickers to use on the bottle for the next step.
^^^rough draft (lol)^^^
I placed the hearts all over the front of the bottle.  Then my sweet hubby, Lance,  spray painted the bottle for me  using Krylon Glitter Blast - Cherry Bomb.  It was fun to watch him because he ended up with the "Grabbing Rainbows" Hands.  The nozzle stuck a bit and the glitter paint spewed uncontrollably as he continued to spray the bottle . . . LOL.  He was so afraid the bottle would run out before he could finish the back side of the bottle.  All was well, though.  I just L♥VE the finished sparkle the paint gave the bottle, too!  The stickers were just peeled off after the paint dried to create small heart "windows".

For my Cookie Box, I used a DIY Valentine Mailbox I picked up at one of the local dollar stores last year.  I simply spruced it up using Crinkle Ribbon by 3 Girl JAM.  The two red colors are
Red - from the July 2012 Special Bundle (not available at this time) and Holly Berry from the Winter Bundle.  I wrapped the red first (like a present) then created a "Bunched Bow" using my Bow Maker .  Let me tell you, this thing has taken my crafting to an entirely different level.
I ♥ my 3GJ Bow Maker

All of the cards were created similarly, just with different stamps, inks, and embellishing.  All of the card stock is from my Scrap Stash.

HAPPY ~ NEW ~ YEAR

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Welcome  To

░▄██▀░░██░██░░░██░▄▄░▀██
██████░▀███▀░░░██░▀████▀
3 Girl JAMMERs
Today I am pleased to share a  card I made to WISH Each and Every One of YOU
a
Happy New Year!

I stamped the fun Champagne Glasses, from the Unity Itty Bitty - Cheers! by Cosmo Cricket, onto Watercolor Paper using clear embossing ink.  I sprinkled my new, never used before, Ranger Embossing Tinsel (Silver)over that and applied heat....OH YEAH, I am HOOKED on the Tinsel Dust Now! LOL!

I was really blown away by all the sparkle that came through after heat setting the embossing tinsel.  So, being as impressed as I was, I wanted to emboss some more!  I grabbed the CHEERS sentiment from the same Unity Stamp set.  At that point, I felt maybe it would be a little "over the top" if I tinsel embossed the inside sentiment.
I opted to just ink the sentiment up with the Dew  Drops Platinum ink and be done.  I did however add some Stardust Stickles to the #1 embossed on the background card stock.

OK, my addiction was apparently growing and I couldn't stop there....I needed more of the Tinsel.  I knew I had to own another sentiment or image that would go with this card theme in my Unity stash.  I found another stamp!  I grabbed Christmas in the Kitchen by Samantha Walker and inked up the Happy New Year sentiment/label.

Before I knew it, I was in a glitter frenzy & I  LOVED IT!  I added more Stardust  Stickles to the larger #1 on the card stock background on the front of the card.

I used white card stock as a card base measuring 5.5" x 8.5".  The pattern paper background layer is from a Colorbok Stack called Neutrals.  I embossed two pieces of Core'dinations Silver Pearl card stock using my Cuttlebug Numbers folder and my Darice Music Notes folder.  I distressed all of the edges and then inked them with my Dew Drops inks in Platinum and Silver.

I began placing my Sterling Crinkle Ribbon under my Champagne Glasses, but felt I needed more of that too. . . . "Hi, my Name is Jessica, and I love 3 Girl JAM Crinkle Ribbon"!

Another addiction I have had lately, are the fun Miniature Bows I learned to create using the 3 Girl JAM Bow Maker.  I wanted to try a new technique with them and decided to build a flower out of multiple mini bows.  I used Antique White, Sterling, and Summer SprinklesI am really pleased with how it turned out!

I added a few tiny gun metal pearls around with a larger one in the center and a few flower stamens behind the bloom.   I then finished it off with a fun Pinque Peacock Beaded Stick Pin from the BSPpur0006 set.

Here is my HOP Project

I made this card last weekend during a fun Stampin' Up Party with Sara and Karen.  I had a lot of fun, and realized, how wonderful their entire line of products are to work with.

I wanted to add one of the fabulous Flair Buttons by 3 Girl JAM.
Isn't that just tooooooo cute??

The cute little snowman on the flair button inspired me to use a Beaded Stick Pin from Pinque Peacock (that matched)!  I simply added a "green scarf" to the snowman pin
using  Mistletoe Crinkle Ribbon, part of the wonderful Winter Bundle
^^^doesn't that just scream MERRY CHRISTMAS to you^^^

up for grabs!!!
Pinque Peacock Handmade Fabric Flowers
and
All of this Christmas Splendor
Here is the project I am sharing
for the Showcase Today:

For my card I used white card stock as the base.
I stamped the Owl Crew using the
Freakin' Adorable Itty Bitty by Unity Stamp Co.

I used embossing ink and 3 separate colors of embossing powder.
I just sprinkled a light amount of each color
in opposite spots around the image.
(one color at a time and shake off excess onto separate work
areas on your craft table, so not to mix your colors)
The sentiment is from the Owly Hoo sentiment set by K. Andrew.

I finished off with a fun Pinque Peacock Felt Flower
and Beaded Stick Pin (so happy to be introducing
some orange hues to the fun mix at the store).

Thanks Heather Lynn, for a wonderful
showcase and for letting
me take part!
